Family Medicine

A Family Practice doctor specializes in the supervision of patients from infancy on. Generally, Family Practice physicians will supervise the treatment of an entire family's illnesses. Knowing an entire family makes it easier to capture a patient's family history since the patient may not remember to disclose little details that only a physician would consider vital. Your Family Practice doctor also provides all areas of service. Our female patients can have their routine pap smears performed by their Family Practice doctor without having to make an appointment with a Gynecologist.

Referrals

In the event a diagnosis is made in which the patient has to be referred to a specialist, our medical office staff will start the paper work and track the process of the referral for you. Patients may be contacted by the referred physician's office to schedule an appointment.

Ensuring the quality of care to our patients, our Family Medicine doctors will request the required tests needed for a diagnosis. Patients can feel comfortable being seen by their primary care physician before being referred to a specialist.
